Our Summer Showcase was a fabulous celebration of Music, Dance, Art and Drama involving participants from Years 7 to 13. After parents and carers had been immersed in our students’ fabulous art exhibition in the Eco Centre, they were then treated to music, dance and drama performances in the hall. After kicking off with a wonderful dance routine based on The Hunger Games from Dance Club, the concert featured a variety of different solo and ensemble performances, culminating in orchestral pieces such as ‘La La Land’ and Benny Goodman’s ‘Sing Sing.’ Pop, Chamber, Boys’ and Girls’ Choirs all showed us their amazing vocal talents in addition to instrumental ensembles including Year 8 Band, Samba Band and Folk, String, Brass and Woodwind Groups. The concert also featured several solo and duet performances from various musicals including Wicked, Hairspray and Matilda. We must also give a special thank you to Tim and Thisuli, our superb presenters for the event.
